Since becoming a lawyer, I have dedicated myself to representing people that are significantly injured. I have successfully brought to conclusion complex cases both for individual clients and in the context of class actions. I have obtained substantial recoveries for my clients in a wide variety of cases, including personal injury, defective drugs, defective products, negligent health care, and environmental contamination. I have also represented whistleblowers in cases that recovered millions of dollars for the United States Treasury.

I am dedicated to improving the legal community and believe that lawyers have a duty not only to their clients, but also to the civil justice system and their community. I currently serve on a number of bar association committees and leadership positions. I served as a commissioner and chair of the Kansas Lawyers Victim Compensation Fund and currently serve as Chairman of the Johnson County Ethics & Grievance Committee.  For eight years (2014-2022) I was also an elected member of the Tenth Judicial Nominating Commission for the Johnson County, Kansas District Court.  I am a Past President of the Kansas Trial Lawyers Association and former Chair of the Small Firm and Solo Practitioner Section and past member of the Board of Governors for the American Associate for Justice (formerly Association of Trial Lawyers of America).

I am married to Ellen Suzanne Goldman, also a lawyer, and I have two daughters, Laura and Julie. My interests outside the law include prehistoric North American archaeology, music, traveling and bicycling.

John M. Parisi graduated in 1989 from the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Law with distinction and was admitted to legal practice in 1989 in Kansas and 1990 in Missouri.

John has been selected to Super Lawyers each year from 2005 – 2023. This peer designation is awarded only to a select number of accomplished attorneys in each state. The Super Lawyers selection process takes into account peer recognition, professional achievement in legal practice, and other cogent factors.  John has also been listed in Best Lawyers in America, personal injury, each year from 2009 to 2023. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri, St. Louis, in Anthropology, January 1978 and then earned a Master’s Degree in Archaeology in 1983.
