“After a large verdict several years ago that was reported in the Kansas City Star, my daughter asked if I was happy that I had won, I told her yes, but I was more grateful that I was able to make a difference in the life of a family that had suffered through so much. The thing is, I love being a trial lawyer, it is a gift I have been given. I was told long ago by my father, that to whom much is given, much is expected. What is expected of me is to believe in my heart that I can make a difference in cases and thus in people’s lives.”
