Melissa practices in the area of civil litigation with an emphasis on personal injury, auto and truck collisions, wrongful death and products liability. In her practice, she is directly involved in all aspects of litigation, including trial, investigations, depositions, witness preparation, discovery, motion practice, and settlement/mediation.
Melissa earned her B.S. in journalism and political science cum laude from the University of Tennessee in 2003 and her law degree from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 2008. She was a member of the Tennessee Law Review and the Tennessee Journal of Business and Law. After law school, Melissa served as a law clerk to the Honorable Jay A. Daugherty, a Jackson County circuit judge.
She is a member of the Missouri and Kansas Bars, the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, and the American Association for Justice. Melissa is licensed to practice in the federal and state courts of Kansas and Missouri.
Melissa lives in Kansas City, Missouri with her husband and two daughters.
