Chad StewartAttorney

Prior to joining Edelman & Thompson, Chad served as an attorney in the civil litigation unit for the City of Kansas City, Missouri’s Legal Department for over ten years. During his time with the City, Chad gained invaluable experience litigating personal injury, motor vehicle collision, wrongful death, workers’ compensation, and premises liability cases. He has practiced in both state and federal courts, the Missouri Court of Appeals, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.

Chad obtained his B.S.E. in English from Missouri State University in 1997 and his law degree from the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Law in 2002.

Chad is a member of the Missouri and Kansas Bars, the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, the Association for Women Lawyers of Greater Kansas City, and the Young Professionals Board of Legal Aid of Western Missouri. Chad also serves on the boards of the Union Cemetery Historical Society and the Union Hill Neighborhood Association. He enjoys spending his time with the Kansas City English Bulldog Rescue as a volunteer, foster family, and adopter.

Chad lives in Kansas City, Missouri with his wife, Heather, and their three dogs: Balto, Sophie, and Rocky.
